Mission Works of CFF Japan
Caring for the Future Foundation Japan (CFF Japan) is a Japanese authorized non-profit organization founded in 1996 and a member of the CFF International. On a mission to build a world where any child and youth can have hope for their future, the organization has been providing opportunities that children and youths grow together through the main activities below:
1. Youth Development Program
CFF Japan has conducted more than 150 International Volunteer Programs (e.g. work camps, study camps and study tours) in cooperation with the local counterparts in the Philippines, Malaysia, Myanmar and Cambodia. Each program is innovative and impactful to ignite hope in youth’s hearts. The number of Japanese youth volunteers exceeds 5000 in total, and over 260 youth leaders have been fostered. Local youths also get involved in each work camp as its camp mates. While they do construction work to build a new facility or repair some buildings in Children Home, they overcome various gaps in terms of age, gender, culture, languages and nationality, which results in deepening their relationships, and building peace and a hopeful future for children.
2. International Cooperation Activity to Support Overseas Children
CFF Japan has been supporting “Children Home,” which has been run by CFF Philippines and Malaysia respectively. It has also been contributing to local children who live in slums in every country.
3. Overseas Educational Programs
Overseas fieldwork has been conducted in collaboration with Japanese educational institutions such as universities, junior and senior high schools, and an educational research institution. Online programs have been offered, connecting Japanese students and educators’ groups with the local children at Children Home both in the Philippines and Malaysia.
4. Local Community Development
CFF Japan offers a part of the office space as community space called Kosodate Hiroba for families with birth-to-three-year-old children and expecting mothers. It functions as a community hub where children can enjoy quality play through child-rearing programs provided by community people, and where parents can get access to information of parenting support and share child-rearing experiences.
