About Us

Since its establishment—CFF Philippines in 1997, CFF Japan in 1998, Malaysia in 2008, and Myanmar in 2017—CFF has supported children across four countries. Over 6,000 youth volunteers have been dispatched to these communities. To sustain and expand support systems for children and youths globally, and to enhance program and human resource development, CFF International has been established.

For the past 25 years, we have supported children through work camps, revealing the following “effects of the work camp project.”

Viewpoint for Children: Rather than simply providing material and financial support, we dispatch youth volunteers to create an interactive environment where children and youth grow together. The participation fee not only offers financial assistance but also fosters emotional growth and support for both parties.

Viewpoint for Youth: Through work camps (including the 5-care program), young people gain opportunities to help both themselves and others. They (1) contribute financially through participation fees and (2) directly engage with children, supporting them while working towards a shared future. This experience helps them grow into individuals who view social issues as personal challenges, driven by a strong desire to “protect the future of children.”

Overview: The significance lies in creating a space where mutual support between children and youth can flourish. This mutual support program is effective, interdependent, and sustainable, balancing financial assistance (participation fees) with emotional growth (5-care programs).

What are the 5 Care Programs?

Care for Self

Care for Others

Care for Environment

Care for Society

Care for Future

The 5 Cares represent (Care for Self, Care for Others, Care for Environment, Care for Society, Care for Future) and serve as core values for raising children and youths. All programs—including human resource development, work camps, community support, and transition support—are built on the principles of the 5 Care Program.

The vertical line represents the core values of the work camp project for children and youths. Completing this vertical line is the first priority for developing young people into human resources who perceive social issues as their own and actively engage in problem-solving. Only with this foundation does the horizontal line (community development practice) become effective and sustainable.

Without the foundation of the vertical line, focusing solely on the horizontal line results in superficial practice.
